OpenRules, Inc. was founded by Dr. Jacob Feldman in February 2003. The company is based in Monroe, New Jersey, near New York City. Its original name, Intelligent Choice Point, changed to OpenRules, Inc. in December 2003, when OpenRules software became publicly available for the first time.
In 2019, OpenRules transformed its classic business rules management system into OpenRules Decision Manager, optimizing the product family for modern decision-service architectures.
